Two Reds have hit homeruns in the final at bats of their careers. Who are they.

Both instances have occurred since the last Reds World Championship

Ouch! That's tough.
It's probably a pitcher or something, but I'll guess Melvin Nieves & D. T. Cromer, two guys who could bash the ball (when they actually managed to hit it!)

No on both counts, also neither player is a pitcher. One player had career that will likely get some minor hall of fame consideration, the other had a memorable moment of failure that is likely the most memorable moment of his career.

Can I ask for a clarification? Their final AB (with the home run) was as a Red, correct?
So for example, it wouldn't be Jeff Conine who played for the Mets after the Reds traded him...

The final at bat was while in a Reds uniform. This is for players that retired with their last at bat coming with the Reds.

Okay, thanks for the clarification.
I'll guess Jim Edmonds and Scott Rolen.

Okay, thanks for the clarification. I'll guess Jim Edmonds and Scott Rolen. Edmonds is correct. He is the player that will get some minor hall consideration. The other is most known for a moment of failure, was a platoon player that did have something of a following. His last major league game happened in his early 30's, while he did play in Japan after that he never returned to the majors.

It wasn't Ruben Rivera, was it?

It wasn't Ruben Rivera, was it? No, this guy did have a better career then Ruben Rivera. Rivera's last homer came with the Giants as well.

Glenn Braggs, September 10th, 1992. Apparently, something happened and he was replaced by Sweet Lou and never had another major league at-bat. The homer came off Steve Avery.
Took me about 15 minutes to find this. Great question.

Took me about 15 minutes to find this. Great question. This of course is correct. The moment of failure that I was alluding to was Braggs breaking his bat over his back after a swinging strike.
