Valaika has hit batting average back into the .290's and he has shown better BB and K tendencies in AA than he was in High A. He may be benefitting from seeing better pitching at this level, and it would be nice if he made similar improvements upon moving to AAA and then the Bigs. The guy can rake, so it would be great to see him stick at SS and give good offense from a premium position like SS.
Ramon Geronimo needs AA in the worst way. I don't know why a 23 year old in High A with a sub 1 ERA isn't promoted.
I think we see Roenicke in the big league pen after the trade deadline at the latest. Same with Herrera. The pen on August 1st should look like this:
CL: Cordero SU: Burton MR: Bray MR: Herrera MR: Roenicke MR: Affeldt LR: Ramierez
Move Weathers and Mercker for whatever you can get, DFA Lincoln, and move Ramon Ramierez back the pen in long relief where he works best. I guess put Belisle there if you want to give Ramierez a little more time in AAA.

What about Alvin Colina? He has been tearing it up in Louisville! In his last 10 games, he has 11 hits, .297 average, 4 HR and 11 RBI's. Also Dickerson has been tearing it up as well, hitting .433 with 3 SB, 2 HR 7 runs scored and 9 RBI. Carlos Fisher is 1-0 with 3 saves and 0 earned runs in 6 IP.

I don't really track those two much since I try to limit my list a bit so it doesn't take forever. Colina likely won't ever start a game for the Reds, and hannigan is much more consistent offensively and defensively.
Dickerson can't hit consistently at the AAA level despite being 26, so I see very little future in him.

I can understand that but then again that would make your list your favorites to watch not a true "Hot List". That is all I am saying...

He puts in a lot of work and does a real nice job keeping everyone, myself included, up to speed on the farm system. So, I certainly enjoy and appreciate all of his efforts.
