I like this idea slot by only allowing 6 per year we can do this forever ha and I like the idea of having links to each players stats once they get in the hall.
I nominate Peter Edward Rose.......

How about a Hall of Shame as well? Brandon Larson, Bob Boone, etc. ??

It sounds like a winner of an idea to me. I've always loved the history of the game and this might help us all learn a bit more about the organization and the players who have helped make it what it is.
My only concern is that someone is going to have to take ownership over this new board. If no one is running it, then I suspect it'll just wither away. Things owned by everyone are cared for by no one.
But, if star or someone wants to handle it, I think it's a cool idea. I don't know how it would work best, but whenever someone gets nominated there could be a write-up about his career and why he deserves enshrinement. Each write up could be done by the "owner" of the HoF board or by the person doing the nominating. At its best, this could be a really cool way to foster discussion. Hall of Fame debates are always great for back and forth debate.
Of course, someone would likely have to determine the rules for enshrinement (number of votes? percentage of votes? how many go in at one time? how often are votes held?). The nomination and voting procedures (nominate players by era? position? or, just anything goes? how long would we have to debate the various candidates?). Establish the standards for enshrinement (What constitutes a Redlegs Message Board Hall of Famer? Players? Owners? Managers? What level of excellence?) And, figure out a cool way to "present" our Hall of Fame (dunno, maybe a profile write up with photos, etc) members.
It could be a really cool idea, but I just don't have time to be the person running it. I'll gladly chime in and participate, but someone else will need to set it up and run it.
And, as mentioned, would this be a better idea for during the season or the offseason? Or, both? A never ending discussion?
Anyway, I'm on board if someone wants to take ownership of it. It was Star's idea, so I'll give him the right of first refusal. Anyway, let me know and I can create a new section/board for it.

How about a Hall of Shame as well? Brandon Larson, Bob Boone, etc. ?? lol If whoever wants to run it wants to include a Hall of Shame, then they could certainly go that route. I can certainly think of a few people I'd want included, but also a few people I'd argue should not be included.

I will run it no problem all I need is for u to setup the section and I will do polling. Might setup a committee to decide who will be on ballot each month. So if u set up area for me to work I will get started
