I think he starts off in Billings only because I dont see him signing right away.
Then we shall see.
Callis just said that Alonso has one of the 2 best bats in draft.

Does he stop in Dayton or move straight to Sarasota? If his bat is advanced as they say, put him on the same track as Frazier. Let him stay down in sunny Florida. I am not sure who is playing first for the Reds, but it can't be anybody too worthwhile. Frazier needs to play more third and LF/RF.

I'm tellin ya, the best thing that could happen is us not signing him to have the 8th pick in a better draft next year haha.
In all seriousness though, it's only a matter of time before teams learn how to use the loop-hole. If the next year has a better field of prospects, teams are going to begin drafting guys like Alonso knowing they can't sign them. Then, they will have a high pick in a better draft. It requires patience, but it would technically be the smart thing to do.

Alanso is a Boris client lol NOOOOOOOOOOOO I feel like Boras has lost a lot of luster recently. His mishandling of the AROD and Kyle Lohse situations are perfect examples of this. Jay Bruce also dumped him recently...

I think that as it seems that more teams are using players with less service time, the Borases will continually lose power, as there won't be as many veterans to negotiate for.
