6 innings 5 hits 4 bb 4 K's 1 runs He gave up 1 run when a guy stole home...lol
Still struggling with control though.........They say he is working on alot of new things so I will wait on the control. He is working on a slider and he has changed his stride to home cutting that down so it will take time to get it together but he needed to make these changes now! I like that he is working on it in AAA and over time it will pay off I think.
He also showed a better GB/FB ratio of 9/4 !

He's not ready.
I don't want him up here until he is consistently throwing strikes and commanding all of his pitches.

I want him up here in the BP. He obviously is bored pitching to AAA guys. This way he gets to throw to MLB quality hitters, be around MLB teamates who he hopefully learns something from, and be around MLB coaches who won't put up with a baby attitude. Plus, we could use more help bridging the gap between the starters and Cordero. Plus plus, Belisle will evetually pitch his way out of the rotation and we could slide Bailey in there for him.

How on earth does a right handed pitcher become victim of a stolen home plate?

hopefully bailey seeing bruce do well up here motivates him to change his attitude and humble him a little bit. I think Bailey is going to dazzle us when hes back up here

I agree with Lark, Bailey has to earn his way up here. You're bored with AAA batters, ok get them out on a consistent basis and you'll be in the majors. It's that simple.
For example, Ian Kennedy, who's been terrible so far but also battling injuries, was demoted. He complained and wasn't happy much like Bailey. You know what he did? Went out and dominated his AAA starts and threw a one hitter proving that even if he struggles in the majors, AAA isn't going to help him either. Bailey hasn't done that yet.

The next time Bailey comes up NEEDS to be the end of his time in the minors. That said, until he demonstrates a better attitude and more consistent performance, he stays at AAA. If we bring him up and again he proves not to be ready, then I think that'll be detrimental to his development. He'll be bouncing back and forth between the minors and majors far too often. If he wants to get back to the majors, then he needs to earn it. Plain and simple.

That many walks is disconcerting, and in just over 100 pitches he still only threw 62 strikes. I'd be a lot happier if that number was closer to 70.

Definitely agree with you Lark and Duke, one other thing about Bailey I'm a bit concerned about it the timing of his attitude. Usually you give a taste of the majors to a guy like Bailey to remind him he has stuff to work on. Still, Bailey still thinks he belongs in the majors and is complaining. You have to earn your spot here, hell look at Jay Bruce. He not only had the talent like Bailey but did everything possible to FORCE his way up here. Bailey has all the stuff, it's just time for him to mature and become a bit more motivated and unselfish. I think he will get it though, eventually he's going to learn to be patient and get his stuff together. That starts with staying focused, throwing strikes, working on your second pitches, and getting AAA batters out before you get promoted. I want this guy to succeed so bad, it's just time for him to start caring as much as us lol.
