Homer with his 6th K to start the bottom of the 4th. He is striking guys out with his changeup today, and has been pretty good spottng his pitches.
Gave up a base hit, but that was because Griffin slipped and the ball dropped in front of him and they ruled it a hit instead of an error.
Next batter hit a double to right and the runner scored.
Next batter walked, his first one given up.
Homer said something to the ump who said something right back after Homer didn't like a call. That's no good to see, he needs to keep control of his emotions. This batter has fouled off 3-4 pitches on 2 strikes. Walked him, bases now juiced. Announcers talking about how Homer seems to have lost concentration after Griffin slipped. Ted Power goes out to talk to him.
This batter is swinging for the fences and whiffed on strike one, and looked at strike two on a fastball that painted the corner. Fouled off to the third base side, still 0-2. Jammed him with a fastball with a weak grounder to first, Homer got out of the jam.
Note: Bruce had a diving catch in the 2nd

6-5 after 5, Homer is probably done
Ramon Ramierez is scheduled to make a start in AAA next week, and they said that Rick Weat said that he is unable to tell them any information about Lehr at the current time.
Sounds like a trade is in the works, Lehr to the bigs.

Sounds like a trade is in the works, Lehr to the bigs. Seriously, what trade would be in order that would change our rotation? Maybe Fogg out and either Lehr or Belisle to the pen? That sounds really odd to me. I'm not sure what to think about Bailey at this point. If his change his striking guys out, then he's ready, but his emotions are out of control...

Man, Homer really laid an egg today. He should be kept in the minors until both his maturity and performance improve.

Homer was the golden boy #9 prospect in all of baseball in innings 1-3
Then in innings 4-5 and 1 batter in the 6th he was the smug piece of crap that thinks he knows better than everyone and they should know it too.
He has some serious maturing to do still.
Bruce on the other hand goes 1 for 3 with a BB, no Ks and has a diving catch in CF and a nice cutoff that prevented a 2B from being a 3B. He has started to cut down on his one big flaw (ks) in the month and a half he has been in AAA. This kid is going to be special, the face of the Reds, and a clubhouse leader.

Dragons are losing 8-3 through 7, but Mesoraco is 2 for 3 with a run and an rbi. He is really starting to heat up the past four games.

He has had at least one hit in his last 4 games and in that time he has been:
6 for 15 (.400 avg) 2 BB (.471 OBP) 3 K 3 runs 3 rbi 2 2B 1 3B 1 HR
I heard a little bit on the radio and while he has not thrown a runner out yet, the announcers have been blaming it on the pitchers not keeping runners on very well and said he had an absolute cannon for an arm.
