Chris Heisey has very quietly put up some very impressive numbers in high A so far. While only hitting .291, his OBP is a very impressive .398 as he has walked 23 times while only striking out 17. He leads all Reds prospects with 18 2B, and has 2 3B as well to go with 9 SB. He has 0 HR, but with gap power and a great OBP he could possibly be a good table setter and 4th OF'er, or maybe even starting LF if Frazier ends up sticking at 3B. He looks like a potential leadoff type or maybe a 2 hitter with a good batting eye. He started out slow in 2007 in Low A Dayton, but really came on strong the 2nd half of last year and has continued that good play on through the start of this year. You never hear much about Heisey, but he is only 23 and he has significantly improved his batting eye this year as last year he had a 63/29 K/BB ratio, and this year he is at 17/23 K/BB ratio. In only 44 games he is 6 walks away from matching his total in 116 games last year. When Bruce gets the callup to the bigs, Shaun Cumberland should take his spot in AAA and i'd like to see Heisey moved up to AA. www.minorleaguebaseball.com/milb/stats/stats.jsp?n=Chris%20Heisey&pos=&sid=milb&t=p_pbp&pid=502317
