Ravin was sent to Dayton and made his first start May 17. He went 4.2 innings, allowing 6 hits, 4 runs, 2 homers, and a 4/2 K/BB ratio.
Not a great start, but the K/BB ratio is trending in the right direction after bouts of wildness in 2007. His stuff is top notch, so if he can control it he could be in for a big step forward in 2008.

It seems that whenever Dayton plays Great Lakes, that they forget how to play baseball. Let's see how Ravin does against the rest of the Midwest League.

I won't hold a first start in A ball against him after a couple years in rookie ball. Anyone listen or see the game? What was his fastball sitting at? How high did it touch? How did his breaking pitches look?
