Nice outing for Thompson again. Not his best outing but he keeps getting the job done. When will he get AAA?

Hopefully soon. There is no reason to hold these guys too low in the minors. Say what you want about bringing young guys to the majors and screwing them up too young, I'm not one to buy in to that too much but it has happened. BUT there is no reason whatsoever to keep them in AA when dominating.

I say at the end of May or so there will be a few minor league moves made
They might move Thompson up before that but I dont have any problem with them sittin down at the end of May and disscussin everyone that they feel needs moved up or down and then going from there. I think waiting 2 months (April and May) is a fair time table to decide if it was a fluke or if they have really out developed that current level and vice versa.
Spring Training you decide where people are going to start the year.
May 31st you re-evaluate and make changes that are needed.
End of July you re-evaluate and figure out your organizationoal rosters becuase more in likely there has been some movement threw trades and such, take this time to promote and demote where needed.
During September you re-evaluate every single player that is property of your team and get a head start on planning for the most part where they will start next year. This is a extremley rough draft of what your organizatinoal depth charts will look like next year because so much can change in the off season and spring training.
DISCLAIMER-> This isnt a strict guideline but it gives a fare amount of time to see how the player is peforming and basing a decison off more than a limited amount of games. There can be some movement in between these dates for injurys and other reasons but for the most part this should be your evaulating schedule.
This is how I was tought in my Sports Mang Class when we coverd the minor leagues of baseball and prospect development.
