ebay is pretty cool. You get some good deals on stuff, but is there anything more annoying than being in that stage where you just bought something, but you don't know exactly when it's going to arrive?
I just got a 1X1GB RAM for my computer 2 days ago, and I don't have a clue when it's going to arrive. Could be Monday, could be next Monday. lol

100% Rumor at this point w/ a hint of inside source but in the future ( anytime in the next 2-3yrs ) you will be able to get EBay on your TV if you have a cable box.

Just bought a car on ebay. A little scary buying a car without actually getting to see it in person and drive it first, but it turned out to be a fantastic deal. Saved about $2,500!

Wow, that is risky. Hope it works out for you. I would imagine it'd be ok. Most of the time those listings are from dealerships, and they rely on their positive feedback and wouldn't dare screw with a customer.

Wow, that is risky. Hope it works out for you. I would imagine it'd be ok. Most of the time those listings are from dealerships, and they rely on their positive feedback and wouldn't dare screw with a customer. I think it's going to work out well. I purchased the car from an individual owner - he had only sold one item on ebay previously. So, there is definitely some risk involved. I think the seller made a mistake though. He had a reserve price on the car, and there were few bids because of it. This went on for about a week or so. Then, with 5 hours left in the auction, he lifted the reserve. Few people noticed this, and I got in and won the auction. The car is beautiful, a silver '02 Lexus with only 50k miles - should run for a long time. Bought it for $12,600, well below blue book. The car probably sold for $30k+ new. My wife is very happy with it!

Hope the engine isn't held together with chicken wire and duct tape. Most new users selling something that big are new because their old account had so much negative feedback that they needed a clean start. Hope you have the exception.

Keeping my fingers crossed! There is definite risk involved here. I wouldn't have done it on a higher mileage car, I don't think - I would have wanted to see it in person beforehand.

One of my other hobbies is toy collecting (probalby have the largest transformer collection in Ohio at least) so I know ebay well. That being said I would have trouble buying a 50 dollar item from a new seller so I highly doubt that I'd pull the trigger on something like that. Hope you don't get burned by it.
