Cumberland keeps hitting in AA. He is 2 for 2 again tonight hitting like .316 now ! He is only 23 years old and has plus tools. At one time a top 10 prospect in Tampa system maybe he is coming on now !

Stubbs 1 for 3 with 9th SB already ! Stubbs is starting to look like a leadoff hitter now ! I think he still developes into a 20 hr type guy but his speed is something else. 9 for 9 on the year and he has stolen 3rd base 4 times !
Todd Frazier 2 for 4 with 6th hr of the year for dayton. Wont be much longer before Frazier is moved off Short. Todcay he palyed DH with Cozart palying Short. Look for a move at anytime. Could we see fraizer learning his new position at High A though in Sarasota ?

I say let him start learning at Dayton so he dont have to worry about his offense.
START TEACHIN HIM NOW
so that way he is in High A by All Star break and can start next year in AA and move up to AAA hopefully.

It depends on the position as well. If he is moving to LF there should be a quick learning curve. He is very talented I dotn think he will have much of a issue learning a new postion.

I dont either but they have to be careful
It is his job to get the job done.
It is there job to put him in place to do so.
Let him start learning the new positon in the league where his hittin is easy.

Cumberland taking the early lead to be #1 on the next Hot 100 (4/30) he goes 4 for 5 with his 3rd hr of the year. He is hitting well over .300 on the year now and is only 23 years old. Like I said a one time top 10 prospect who has all the tools you look for in a OF. He seems to be taking it to another level now. His k/bb rate is great this year. maybe this is one of those times when a light comes on in the hitters head and he just figures it out. If so we got us a steal in the tampa trade.

If he hits well through the MiLB ASB break, do you think he will get the AAA promotion? With the slow start and injury of Dan Dorn, the Reds may need someone new to step up to play a little OF next year for them.

I'm not one to get too excited about 23 year olds in Low A, but Luis Montano has been very good for Dayton so far and is 3-0. he took a no hitter into the 7th last night for the win. He only has 14 ks vs 8 BB in about 22 innings though, but his BAA is under .200 and he has good groundball tendencies.
