sports.yahoo.com/mlb/news?slug=reu-japanscore&prov=reuters&type=lgnsThat's just brutal. 250 pitches in 2 innings. Did it ever occur to the manager that it may just not have been his day and put in a different pitcher? I guess forfeit was a better option than the relief pitcher. Exactly how bad are the other pitchers? How bad was their fielding? I mean, jus tthe law of averages says that there would probably be a few routine flyballs in that time span.

When it is that bad, I'd say it's an incompetent defense. It must have been like a T-Ball defense out there.

It was high school though, and you'd think they could at least find 3 or 4 guys who can catch to play baseball. I honestly feel like we could round up 9 guys from this board and play the Reds and not give up that many runs in 2 innings.
