He was a 27th rd draft pick in the 2006 draft, and he has had some PT finally in Low A Dayton and he is makng the most of it. In 9 games played so far he is hitting .414 and has only 2 ks vs 4 walks in 29 at bats, including 3 2B, 1 3B, 1 HR, and 5 SB in that time. If i'm Donny Scott, I hit him leadoff until he shows he shouldn't be starting every day. www.filefactory.com/file/135369/

Thats good to know that we have some promise from late in the draft. Really nice to see, hope he keeps it up.

Thats good to know that we have some promise from late in the draft. Really nice to see, hope he keeps it up. He played in Billings last year and did pretty well and had a cup of coffey in Dayton to end the year. I thought he'd be a starter right out of the gate, but they tried to push Justin Reed (2 years younger than Jones, and a 4th rd pick in 2006) at the beginning of the year to little success. Now that Jones is getting his PT, he is producing, and they won't have any choice but to keep him in the lineup. Here is how my ideal Dayton lineup looks: 1. Keltavious Jones, CF 2. Dennis Phipps, RF 3. Todd Frazier, SS 4. Brandon Waring, 3B 5. Mike McKennon, 1B 6. Jacob Long, C 7. Kevyn Fiener, 2B 8. Brandon Menchaca, LF

Jones with another good game last night going 2-5 with an rbi and a run scored, hitting leadoff. He is now hitting .412 with an OBP of .500 in 34 at bats, with 5 SB, 3 2B, 1 3B, 1 HR, 2 rbi, and 10 runs scored.
