Thompson pitched on the 8th after Lecure pitched on the 7th last time through, and Lecure pitched last night for the Lookouts, so hopefully that means he is pitching tonight.

Sarasota take a POUNDING from Lakeland 17-3. The only pitcher of note in that game for the Reds was Sean Watson who gave up 1 run on 2 hits with 3 K's in 1 inning of work. Camilo Vazquez got taken for 9 runs in less than 3 innings.
Chris Heisey went 0-3 Justin Turner went 2-4, 3B, run, raising his avg to .361 Chris Valaika went 1-4 with 1 rbi Juan Francisco went 2-4 with a solo HR and 1 K Drew Stubbs went 1-4 with 2 Ks

People keep forgetting about Turner but he has hit at every level. He is a guy that might need moved up soon as well. In fact Dayton and Sarasota have alot of guys that need moved up.

Nice night for Thompson
5.1 innings 4 hits 1 run 0 bb 7 K's
He finally gave up a run on a solo Hr
Frazier needs moved to High A soon. He has 5 hr's now in 12 games and I think he might have as many hr's as k's

Nice to hear the good news on both Frazier and Thompson. We need some lately. I agree from reading your updates and posts that Frazier must be ready to try a new challenge at the next level.

I was suprised when Frazier didn't start in High A in the first place. I guess it's because Valaika is still there and they have yet to move either one off of shortstop. Between the two Valaika has the better chance of actually sticking, albeit in the end i'd be suprised if either one was there.
If it were up to me i'd try to keep Valaika at SS, move Frazier to LF, and keep Francisco at 3B. Imagine Sarasota's lineup with Frazier in it.
1. Heisey, RF 2. Turner, 2B 3. Valaika, SS 4. Francisco, 3B 5. Frazier, LF 6. Stubbs, CF
That'd be a killer 1-6. I still don't know why they are batting Stubbs 6th right now and not in the leadoff spot where he played last year. I say forget the power, groom him to be a pure .400 OBP, 40+ SB leadoff man. The future has power with Francsico, Frazier, Waring, Bruce, and maybe even Valaika.

Craog Tatum had a big night for AA Chattanooga. He was 3-5, 2B, HR, 2 runs, 2 rbi, and caught a the only runner who tried to steal on him. His avg is up to .263, but his OBP is at .378, an area he has shown much improvement on to start this year.
Thomson had 7 Ks, vs 0 walks last night, and on the year has only issued 1 walk vs. 20 ks in 3 starts (172/3 IP)

Is going to be a huge downgrade from Ross on defense if it comes to him being the replacement before Mesoraco?

Tatum has a pretty good arm. It's not a canon, but it is an arm that baserunner have to respect and is more than passable in the bigs.
