Who Am I?
1) Through my Age 28 season, I hit 35 or more Home Runs 4 times. I only got to 100 RBI in 1 of those seasons, though. I also had a 34/94 season, and a 31/75 season mixed among my 4 seasons of 35+.
2) Through my Age 28 season, I led my league in strikeouts 5 times. I had 1 season where I was 2nd, and finished 3rd 3 other times.
3) Sportswriters in town often ragged on me for the strikeouts, the low RBI totals relative to my HR, for not getting the most out of my ability, and, generally, for not being the guy that preceded me at my position.

First thoughts leaping to mind are Yaz and the Mick. I don't think Yaz had quite that much power, nor the reputation for not getting the most out of his ability.
So, I'll go with the Mick. He certainly had the strikeouts and the power, not to mention he had to follow the Yankee Clipper.

It's interesting to note that, for all the NY sportswriter whining about his K's, the Mick walked more for his career than he struck out.
And, holy god, look at that '57 season: slash line of .365/.512(!!!)/.665. 146 walks vs. 75 K's. No IPEDs necessary, thank you. Yet, mysteriously, only 94 RBIs.
