There has been a lot of talk about what a great player Elly De La Cruz will be. I have to question that because he may be too tall. Outside of pitchers there have been no great hitters above 6 foot three in baseball history. Yeas Adam Dunn and Dave Kingman hit a lot of Home Runs, but theey were not great hitters They struck out a lot. I don't think there are any Hall of Fame hitters over 6 feet two inches tall. I can't find any stats to back up this up so I don't know. Any thoughts.

Thome Pujols Ripken Thomas Griffey Ted Williams
All 6 foot 3 and above (I thought it was 6 foot 2) Still Thome, Thomas and Ripken were all 6 foot 4 and above.
I think as long as the player has good bat to ball skills and isn't a straight three out comes player (Thome likely the outlier of those) they should be fine. If your game is based on working count and homers eventually your bat speed will slow down enough that you won't be able to cover enough of the larger strike zone to stay viable.
If you have the bat speed and bat to ball skill you can over come the height fall off cliff age of the early 30's (Dunn, Sexson, many others)

There aren't that many players in the HOF 6'3" or above because only 3% of the general population is 6'3" or above.
Aaron Judge is 6'7", a damn good hitter.
