Baseball has reinstated him from the suspension list. The Dodgers have until Friday to either put him on their 40 man roster or release him. They have to pay him either way. Should the Reds pursue him. IHe had his best years in Cincinnati. He is a pitching genius who would probably make a great 4th starter. I wouldn't mind giving the Dodgers Barrero, or Senzel for him. The Dodgers lost Justin Turner, and Trea Turner to free agency and their centerfield position is weak. What does everyone have to say? I think the Reds should make a run at him.

I personally am very much in favor of Bauer returning, but I imagine there may be several teams interested since his salary is already paid.
If LA was smart, they'd keep him. I mean really, how is the porn capital of the world so shocked by his behavior?
I think Trevor Bauer needs help and a professional therapist, but that would benefit just about anyone. (Consensual or not, that's just twisted what he did.) I would even put it in the contract or at least a gentleman's agreement and shake on it.
I do not utterly condemn and reject Bauer for his personal life. If he was willing to pursue health in that area, I'd welcome him back to Cincinnati with open arms.

The reds could also flip Moustakeas for him. The money is about the same and the Dodgers need a left-handed hitter. The Dodgers will have to pay Bauer 23 million rather he plays or not. tThe Reds owe Moustakas 22 million.

I don't think this organization is going to be willing to take the PR hit that comes with signing Trevor Bauer. If they weren't willing to stick by Aroldis Chapman, electing instead to sell him for pennies (nickels? dimes? quarters?) on the dollar, then I highly doubt that Bauer's more serious misdeeds will be something they are willing to embrace.
If you want to take the cold hearted calculation approach, maybe (by being the organization that welcomes back in MLB) the Reds could sign and flip him later on; winning the arbitrage game by gaining more value from ultimately selling him than what it cost to bring him into the fold in the first place. But, in my view, that's not the best way to run an organization.
I was a huge fan of Trevor Bauer both on the mound and his baseball views/philosophies off the mound, but at this point the troubling incidents are too numerous and too serious to bring him back into the fold. I do believe that organizational culture is part of a successful baseball team; I don't think, at this point, Bauer can contribute positively to the team's culture.

He is a sicko that gets off on raping and beating women. If Cincy resigns this pos I will never spend another penny on this team. Bauer should be in jail, not raking in millions.

Trevor Bauer has not been found guilty. In fact, the judge threw the case out. The girl also had a tainted reputation a a baseball groupie also. The Reds took a chance on Josh Hamilton and it ended up okay. BTW, Hamilton got in trouble again in Los Angeles. "Hollywood nights in those Hollywood hills." Little Bob Seger there. Time to "Turn The Page". The Reds have also been more than willing to bring back Rose from time to time even though he is a convicted criminal. So did the Phillies although now he has been accused of knocking up a teenager 50 years ago. I don't have a problem with it. It would boost attendance in the games he appears in which is something the Reds really need to do.

It was obviously a failed attempt at a money grab
