I saw where Bauer's Baseballs are being investigated because of spin rate. That could be interesting. Especially since he has been the Astros #1 hater

Love the subject. Definite click bait if you are into balls. hahaha
My balls have been the subject of concern lately, so I needed to make sure Bauer wasn't having the same issues. hahaha

Especially since he has been the Astros #1 hater My understanding is that MLB is periodically pulling baseballs from games in order to evaluate the use of foreign substances and how to fully address the issue/problem going forward. So, the league has represented, in at least some quarters, that this is not an effort targeted at specific pitchers or a punitive measure, but rather just gathering sample baseballs.

It is no surprise to me because I mentioned it on this board. Can't find the thread now. Garrett Cole and Trevor Bauer were teammates in college. They didn't get along. Trevor singled him out in his dislike of Astros methods Yet they have similar careers. Cole had a few good with the Pirates before his stuff started going south. At Houston he miraculously resurrected his career and became a CY Young. Bet it had something to do with spin rate. Trevor Bauer's career was turning south in Cleveland before his trade with the Reds. With the Reds his spin rate went up dramatically, and he became a Cy Young. In an article I read this past winter it was rumored that Bauer and other were mixing Coca Cola with pine tar to get a better grip on the ball. They also were mixing it with other things to get a clear skin tone. Sorta of like a woman does with lotion and make-up, only in a pitcher it was to make the substance undetectable by sight. So I don't believe it is coincidental that Bauer is being looked at Sorry Dodgers, he's your problem now. Next up for inspection Garrett Cole.
I am just waiting for some ingenious nail salon to come up with steel fake fingernails that have serrated edges so a pitcher can cut the ball. The pitchers can turn their hands into Swiss army Knives
