Toxicology reports have now come out on George Floyd and they show that he died of a drug overdose, not asphyxiation at the hands of police. That changes everything. All these riots and all this unrest is over a guy who died because he took too many drugs. This had nothing to do with institutional racism. Facts matter. I wish our media would spend more time reporting facts

The majority of these police incidents start because of resisting arrest or something more stupid. It’s getting to the point that police are only allowed to even threaten with lethal force if they are shot at a dozen times and/or actually hit. Even then it would be well the cops had a larger caliber

If you or I got wasted on drugs, resisted arrest and ended up dead, what honors would we receive? I'm more interested in facts that politics. The fact is that he died of what he put into his system. This makes it very likely that those cops will receive no serious sentences. Will the media report honestly on all of this or will they again let America burn? And to the liberals here who support BLM and all, what do you have to say?

I don't believe the cause of death has been conclusively established. Comments like this from the coroner will make it awfully difficult to convince 12 jurors of murder beyond a reasonable doubt That's why they have trials. To establish the evidence and render a verdict. As I recall, there were two autopsies performed: one by the county medical examiner and one private autopsy performed at the behest of the family. Both listed the cause of death as "homicide," though, again, that is subject to formal determination at trial. Even if you want to assume that underlying cardiac issues or fentanyl were contributing factors, placing a knee on his neck for 8 minutes and 46 seconds would still undoubtedly be a substantial factor contributing to his death. If he did have those assumed underlying factors, but the officer did *not* place a knee on his neck for 8 minutes and 46 seconds, then would he still have died? If you are walking down the street and you come across your worst enemy who has been stabbed six times and who will bleed out within the hour, but you decide to pull out a gun and shoot him dead on the spot, then you can still be convicted of murder for your actions.

We'll see what the testimony is of the coroner. What is the cause of death? Asphyxiation? or Drugs? From what I've posted here it sounds like it's not asphyxiation. If that's the case then it would make perfect sense if the jury did not convict on homicide.
