The first two are obvious: Bench and Lombardi. #5 was a surprise with Hannigan considering he was barely evewn a full time catcher

Given how I had never heard of Ed Bailey, I assume that Bench, Lombardi, and Hargrave have been the only three really great catchers this team has had, and that who takes four and five is just a crapshoot.

I put Ivey Wingo in the fifth spot. Played the position for like 18 seasons.
Also add Joe Oliver to the honorobale mentions.
Hannigan is nowhere near the Reds fifth-best catcher -- in addition to Oliver and Wingo, even Jason Larue had better numbers than Hanigan.

I think Edwards deserves a shout out. he was considered a superb handler of pitchers. He won two gold gloves and was a three time all-star. He caught one of Maloney's no-hitters. Might have caught two if the reds hadn't lost one of Maloney's in extra innings.
