The Astros controversy is a lot of BS Baseball needs to move into the 21st century. Give the players earpieces and put microphones in the gloves. If the Army can have secure communications so can baseball. Eliminate all mound visits that don't replace a pitcher. Speed up the game. Make all calls from the from a secure place in the clubhouse.

The NFL has had helmet radios for 25 years now. If there's a small device in the catcher's helmet and some kind of Bluetooth thing for the pitcher, that would probably work.

So, every pitch, the catcher will say "fastball" or "curveball"?
There might be a problem with that.

No all the pitches would be called from the dugout. A lot of teams do it already. Just like the plays come from the sidelines in football. The catcher could also hold the glove up to his face and whisper the call so the batter would not hear.
