Read an interesting article on this years power surge. The Yankees set a record for 267 HRs last year. Four teams are on pace to break it this year. 35% of ab’s end in a strikeout, walk or home run. This is not baseball, it is a home run hitting contest. It is one of the reasons attendance is down. My solutions are this. Eliminate the fake pastures and forests in center field. At GABP move the wall all the way back to the boat. Put the bullpens underneath the playing fields near the dugout and move the fences back. Have other teams do the same.
Limit the batter to six pitches. Quit ruining arms with 9 and 10 pitches at bat . Bring back real pitching not just the hit this fastball mentality. Any thoughts.

Why doesn't MLB just say this years baseballs are 'juiced'? Pretty obvious.

Why doesn't MLB just say this years baseballs are 'juiced'? Pretty obvious. Same reason why Bud Selig didn't say he allowed steroids to run rampant during his time as commish....

The newer balls have less dense cores, allowing them to go further when hit. Man Fred is well aware of it.

I'd respect Manfred if he'd stop being disingenuous and just come out and say it: the balls are juiced because their research shows that the casual fan likes offense and home runs, and his job is to "grow the game."
