The Reds had two future Hall of Fame inductees play for them in the 1939 World Series vs. the Yankees.
Can you name them?

Absolutely.
That's the easy one. Who was the other one?

Time for a hint, I believe.
The other HOFer on the 1939 Reds was a late season addition. He only played game 4 and played in LF (he went 1/4 while scoring a run), when Harry Craft was removed was removed after one at bat (Craft only managed one hit in 11 ABs against the Yankees).
He was definitely in the twilight of his great career and would be signed during the offseason by the team which made him famous where he would spend the next two years.

Another gold star for you, schellis!
Al Simmons was acquired late in the season from the Boston Bees in a straight-up cash sale. He would spell largely Harry Craft and ended up in 9 games for the Reds. He came into game 4 following an early injury to CF Harry Craft (Wally Berger moved into CF). Paul Derringer started the game for the Reds who was spot on until the seventh when he gave up two solo shots to Charlie Keeler and Bill Dickey; he was relieved in the 8th by Bucky Walters, who would end up as the losing pitcher in the tenth inning. Simmons doubled and scored a run in four ABs.
Simmons was released after the season and returned to the A's.
