Great game. I thought Bailey would have problems and he did. Allowed 10 hits, but he battled hard for five innings. The Reds were down 3-1 in the fifth when the got a scratch hit against Stripling. The Roberts replaced Stripling who had been cruising. Another hit then Schebler unloaded a bomb to left field. I thought it was just a long fly the it just kept going and going It thinkin landed on top of the wall and bounced into the stands. The left-fielder looked as if he just ran out of room. The Reds added aanother when Bandino pinch hit for Bailey. Bailey was really mad being lifted. Threw his helmet down and everything. Was the right thing to do, nut it was good to see the passion. Wow, Bailey really battled last night even if it was only for five innings. Fantastic win.

Then when Blandino knocked in another run it removed all doubt. Homer should just thank his lucky stars that he got a win out of all that. He should know that he ought not get more than 5 innings to show he deserves to stay in the game. He sucked 5 out of 5 innings. What kind of idiot would gamble by throwing him out there for another inning?

This is not a good team the Dodgers are running out there these days but the Reds need not apologize for beating them. It doesn't take anything away from the winning streak.
I do find it interesting that the Dodgers seem to have a common approach to their ABs. They're extremely patient. They hardly ever swing at the first pitch and often don't swing even on the second strike. It's almost as if they've been told that Reds pitchers will walk themselves into trouble if you let them. With that in mind, I'd tell my pitchers this and to groove the first pitch down the middle and don't nibble too much on the subsequent pitches either. These guys are trying to get walks and drive up the pitch counts more than they're trying to drive the ball. Might as well use that approach to our advantage. Wandy sure missed this memo last night.
