Did his thumb fall off? Any timetable for his return? Good question. He didn't break the finger, he tore the ligament that connects the thumb to his hand. He was basically told not to use it for 6 weeks and then slowly rebuild it through physical rehab. It's been about 9 weeks and I don't think he's started rehab yet. With the Reds luck, it won't heal correctly and require surgery.

It sounds like Apple's virtual assistant found his thumb.

Through 15 games, 59 ABs at A+ Daytona, Jose Siri has 17 hits, 2 BB, and 16 Ks, for a .302 OBP. Hasn't justified a promotion to AA yet. Hopefully he improves that BB:K ratio with more practice and earns a promotion.
