The Orioles got tired of seeing empty seats in the upper deck so now if an adult buys a tickets he can get two free tickets for children under 10. Hot dogs are a buck fifty. Of course this will make traditionalists made because they can’t pay $20 for A hot dog. Oh well. Heard that paid attendance for one White Sox game this year was under 1000.

Winning would put more butts in the seats than cheap hotdogs.

Pretty sure the Reds have had a section with $1 hot dogs/popcorn/drinks for like 3 seasons now.
As was just mentioned, literally the only thing that puts people in the stands in this day in age is winning.

I'm sure the White Sox have more than 1000 season ticket holders. I doubt very seriously they only had 1000 paid for a game

But tickets sold was way more than a 1,000. It was when it was brutal cold and snowing. Same day the Cubs cancelled there game.

The attendence for all sporting events has dropped. Building smaller arenas or lessening seating capacity is becoming the norm. Technology has advanced far too much.

The attendence for all sporting events has dropped. Building smaller arenas or lessening seating capacity is becoming the norm. Technology has advanced far too much. I live out of town. Used to go 4-5 times a year. Went once last year because I was given free tickets. Won't go this year unless I get more free tickets and Senzel is up and playing by the time I get free tickets. I would go more if we didn't suck but doubt I would go even then more than a couple times. Why go when even the average working stiff like me can now afford to buy 60 inch TV with HD. Ten steps to the fridge and bathroom. Don't have to pay for parking walk a half a mile. Fought crowds in restrooms pay crazy prices for food and drink. Plus I could drive 2 plus hours only for the game to be rained out.I have had that happen twice in last few years. Since the Reds among many other teams are too cheap to have put a retractable roof on GABP. It really makes no sense to go anymore with every single game on tv.
