What should we glean from the fact that 2b Dilson Herrera is playing with high-A Daytona???
No longer fits into the minor league development plans? Trying to rebuild confidence? Better weather?

We got jack for Bruce. And also Cozart because we couldn't do walk and chew gum at the same time.

Daytona doesn't have 2b Nick Senzel or 2b Shed Long. Dilson Herrera is now hitting .296 with a .359 OBP after a slow start, and seems poised to move up when Senzel creates an opening.

Herrera was reassigned to the Bats yesterday.
Dilson hit at a .298/.359/.429 clip with 2 dingers.

How much time has DH played in the field and not as a DH? Any word on his defense (arm)?

Just when you figured he was down for the count Hererra has exploded at Louisville. His BA is up to .300 now with a .300/.369/.455 slash line.
He could easily be playing his way back onto the 40-man roster.

Who figured he was down for the count? I saw his trip to Daytona as a glorified rehab assignment, which it was.

Will be interesting to see if he ever ends up in a Reds uniform or if they end up trading him for a lottery ticket or something in the next couple of months now that he's proven he's healthy.

Dilson Herrera just keeps hitting. So what do you do? How much longer can he be left in AAA if he keeps doing this? But you have Sooter blocking him and we don’t really want DHer sitting up there do we?

But you have Sooter blocking him and we don’t really want DHer sitting up there do we? Leave him down there to hit, get reps, and stay healthy. The most important thing for Dilson is repetitions and proving his shoulder his healthy. It's less important at this point whether those ABs come at the MLB level or triple-A.

He’s a minor league free agent in 4 months if not repurchased.
