The Reds' minor league affiliate campaigns end the first week of September (barring playoff appearances).
This is a preliminary list of players who will qualify as Rule 55 minor league free agents this winter otherwise known as "six-year minor league free agents."
The list only pertains to players who are currently not on the Reds 40 man roster (though most of the players on the Reds 40 man roster would also qualify if designated for assignment and outrighted to the minors prior to the end of the season).
The Reds have until 5 p.m. EST on the 5th day after the final game of the World Series ends to purchase these players (add to 40 man) to prevent them from reaching FA.
2017-18 CINCINNATI REDS ORGANIZATION RULE 55 FREE AGENTS:
2008 or Earlier Draftees: SP Rob Wooten (AAA), RP Vin Mazzaro (AAA), C Adrian Nieto (AAA), OF Scott Van Slyke (AAA)

As far as the 44 men currently on the 40 man roster, I'll make it real easy, all of them would qualify as six-year minor league free agents if outrighted prior to the end of the season, assuming they cleared waivers (most wouldn't) with the exceptions of: SP Brandon Finnegan, SP Nick Travieso, SP Luke Farrell, SP Cody Reed, SP Jackson Stephens, RP Raisel Iglesias, RP Michael Lorenzen, RP Barrett Astin, **C Stuart Turner, OF Jesse Winker, *OF Patrick Kivlehan, and OF Phil Ervin.
*Kivlehan would qualify as a special case, because it's his 2nd time being outrighted.
**Turner would have to be returned to the Twins if outrighted prior to the end of the season.

With the minor league regular season over, the Reds are probably done tweaking their 40 man roster until after the World Series. Though they could still claim someone off waivers or purchase another contract before then.
Since the initial post; the Reds have juggled the 40 man a bit: they've released Lisalverto Bonilla, outrighted Nefi Ogando, lost Blake Wood on waivers, and moved Scott Feldman to the 60-Day DL. They've also purchased Chad Wallach, Zach Vincej, Tyler Mahle, and Alejandro Chacin.
I've updated the initial post in the thread; removing Chacin (now on the 40 man roster) and adding Ogando.
As for the second post in the thread; all of the players they've purchased with the exception of Chacin would not qualify for free agency if they were outrighted this winter (i.e. they'd stay in the system if they cleared waivers, and they'd be Rule 5 eligible). Chacin however would immediately qualify as a minor league free agent, if he cleared waivers.
