No, not very inspiring at all. None of the top 30 prospects made the cut. Instead the list is all guys who they need to decided whether or not to protect from the Rule 5 draft. If they suck they won't make the cut, if they do well, they might. The Reds have a bunch of (relatively) important prospects they'll need to add, not including these guys.
But the roster also lists another TBD pitcher from the Reds organization, hopefully that will be new Cuban Vladimir Gutierrez.

Wallach started 47 games at catcher this year, and only 13 at 1b. I doubt the Reds are giving up on him at that position at this point (as being able to catch is key to any value he might have), but the biggest question he has to address in the AFL is with his bat. The Reds' priority for Wallach's AFL experience will probably be ABs, rather than the position. If ABs are more available for a 1b, fine.
