Reds are already in the wild card. This is how each round matches up:

Reds. I predict they win the Wild Card play-in, somehow knock off whomever in the NLDS, get hot and win the pennant, then lose the World Series to Boston or Detroit...just the feeling I have.
Bengals will more than likely win the Wild Card game, and lose in the next round.
Both however are suffering major playoff droughts as the Reds haven't won a postseason series since 95, and the Bengals I guess I was in grade school the last time.

I agree with your Bengals assessment. I don't see them getting by either Denver or New England. That could change after we watch them play the Patriots in two weeks though. Hard to believe that game could be for a bye in January. Belichek normally eats Marvin alive but this defensive line may be able to get to Brady often, since his receivers can't get open. These Reds just don't seem like the type ready for a deep run. There are too many extremely talented teams and Dusty's limp wrist just can squeeze all the juice out of this team, leaves too much of it behind. Whomever does win the NL will be losing in the World Series to the Tigers.

NE is crap and going to get beat when they come to Cincinnati in two weeks. Bank on it.

The only thing I care about that week is A. the Reds are playing in the NLDS, and 2. the Reds win, I'm obsessed with the Reds, all other teams are merely teams I follow between Reds' seasons.

So many wrong answers. I was one of the two to take the Bengals. We will find out this weekend. They are done for. It's hilarious how alike the two Cincinnati pro teams are. Both get to the playoffs, but are never good enough to win a series. And both will end up having a black head coach fired and replaced with a white guy.

I think we'll dominate SD and then go into Foxboro and slap the Patsies around. That will set up a battle of the ages against Denver, anything can happen in that one. Problem with Denver is that they're not used to facing a D like ours, Manning gets happy feet and Bengals roll on to the SB.

My theory is that as long as the Bengals are playing a team with an average or below average defense, they can roll through the playoffs. Dalton really struggles against teams with a solid D. The Bengals' losses this year have been against Chicago, Cleveland, Miami, Baltimore, and Pittsburgh. Four of these five teams (all but Chicago) rank in the top half of the league in yards allowed per pass play. I cannot explain the Chicago loss. Fortunately, none of the AFC playoff teams, except the Bengals, have a really good defense. Below are the rankings of the AFC playoff team defenses based on total yards allowed per game: Cincinnati - 3rd (306 yards) Denver - 19th (356 yards) Indianapolis - 20th (357 yards) San Diego - 23rd (367 yards) Kansas City - 24th (368 yards) New England - 26th (373 yards) I feel like the Bengals match up pretty well against any of these opponents. The biggest mystery to me is whether the Broncos' incredible offense could do enough damage against the Bengals D to make up for its defensive deficiencies. On paper, it seems like the Bengals have the best balanced team in the AFC with the 3rd ranked defense and 10th ranked offense. They should have a great shot at getting to the SB. That's on paper though, and playoff football can be different than the regular season. As always, Dalton is the X factor in big games, and that has not always gone so well. I could easily see another Tom Brady postseason triumph at the Bengals expense in a low scoring game, with Dalton having lots of chances but inexplicably throwing multiple interceptions. If the Bengals make it to the SB, they will likely be up against one of the NFL's best defenses, and it could get very ugly for Mr. Dalton and his offense, I'm afraid. Seattle, Carolina, New Orleans, and San Francisco all have Top 5 defenses based on yards allowed per game. Let's not worry about this just yet though.

I don't really see the packers standing a chance vs the 49ers.
