It's his last start in ST before Opening day 5 days from now, so I hope to see him go about 5-6 innings with 75-95 pitches.

I almost wish we could keep Bailey in long relief so he can watch Harang pitch ever 5th day. At one time Harang had control issues shortened his stride to home and took off. I think it would help Bailey to see him every 5th day. I do understand however that Bailey needs to pitch every 5th day and work on alot of things so I understand thatAAA is where he needs to go. The Reds should send every harang start on Video UPS to bailey's house and tell him to watch....lol

Starpower, I am glad Bailey is not in the ballpen. There is a reason Browning was not put there by Housom. Let him shorten up and gain better contral in AAA. You don't put a starter with his potential in the pen.

Homer's actually one of the few cases where, if service time wasn't an issue, I'd actually prefer the Earl Weaver route of breaking him in as the long guy in the pen.
Homer has 2 major problems based on what I've seen and heard: 1) Straight Fastball 2) No confidence in his stuff
Some minor mechanical adjustment can help him get some sink on his fastball, and I'm confident he can do that either in Cincy or in Louisville.
Part 2 is the more difficult part. Homer will dominate for 2-3 innings, then start nibbling until he's walked 6 batters and his pitch count gets out of control. He just needs to learn to trust his stuff. By working him out of the 'pen, he gets to work on things while only going once through the lineup. You build confidence in the shorter stints, and he'll be more willing to throw any pitch in any count when you put him back in the rotation.
