Hennessey may be hittable but he has made pitches when needed. The Reds got to watch him warm up as he chose to do it on the field due to the injury. He has beenmatching belisle tonight but here is a double switch bring in Yabu to pitch now. If you are wondering he is a Righty

I would not be willing to trade Bako at the moment. You don't know about Ross's health. He is back but has only played in 2 games. Valentin is a statue behind the plate. I may be old fashioned in this department but the Catchers first job is to catch and run the pitching staff. Bako has had good D and has been great with the youngers in the rotation.
Personly, I could not trade him right now. If I had to get rid of a catcher it would be Valentin. That is me though.

I'd get rid of Valentine. He is not a catcher anymore, and his bat isn't that good without being a catcher. Trade/DFA/whatever Javy and just go with Bako and Ross. Ross plays only against lefties.

Once Bako regresses to his career mean (.236 BA, .308 OBP, .320 SLG, .629 OPS), I think we'll be sorry he wasn't traded when he had more value.

atleast Bako can still catch when Valentin can't anymore. But you are right there will be people complaning that he was not traded at that point.
