Keep all game updates in here:
Low A: Dayton - Off High A: Sarasota @ Clearwater - 7 pm AA: Chattanooga vs. Carolina - 7:15 pm AAA: Louisville @ Indianapolis - 7 pm
Unless they don't go with the 5 day rotation, Jordan Smith and Homer Bailey should be pitching tonight. AAA had a day off ths week so Bailey may be tommorrow, but Sarasota has played many days in a row without a day off yet so I think Smith is up tonight almost for sure. Thompson should be pitching tommorrow for the Lookouts.

There's one thing that I don't like about Stubbs.....
He appears to play a similar game to Corey Patterson. If we can unload him for a high price, awesome, but I don't know about him having a future with us, if we're winning, at this point.

I dont see the comparison really. yeah they both strikeout alot and can run and have plus gloves but Stubbs has a better batting eye takes alot of ptiches and walks alot. In fact I think one reason he strikes out alot is he takes so many pitches. I think Stubbs can put up .270-.285 avg with 20 hr's and 30-50 SB with a plus plus glove at the major league level. The best party is he will also take a walk./

You can improve your K rate with a shorter swing IMO but you cant improve you walk rate. If your a free swinger you always are it seems. Stubbs K's alot but he also gets on base something patterson does nto do. I think Stubbs has more natrual power as well because of hsi size. he can shorten his swing IMO and still hit the ball out unlike Patterson
Stubbs is now back on the prospect fast track IMO

Sam LeCure getting no love in this thread. He worked 7.0 strong innings, giving up 1 run, 1 walk, 6 strikeouts, and only 2 hits. Nice to see him take care of bidness!!!

Stubbs is really playing well so far. I'm still hoping the Dale Murphy comparisons that were being tossed around on draft day come true. Of course, it's a bit ridiculous that he's still in high-A ball. It's time for the bump up to Double-A.

Valaika finished up 4-5 on the night and is off to a nice bounce back season thus far. I still had high hopes for him coming into this season, so it's nice to see him do well.

Lecure struggled early in the year with control but he has had back to back solid outings in AA. He is only 24 so he can still develope into a #4 type SP

Jordan Smith has some very nice rations on the year 4-1 (5 starts) 1.72 ERA 4.8 K/BB 1.12 WHIP 1.44 Groundout/Flyout 3 quality starts in 5 games (More than 6 IP, 3 runs or less, it would be 4 but he only went 5 IP in his first start, and could be 5, but he had 2 unearned runs making 4 total this past start) Only 6.89 K/9 However Daryl Thompson has just been on another level: 2-0 (4 starts) 0.76 ERA 25 K/BB (25 ks, and 1 BB in 23 2/3 IP) 9.51 K/9 0.72 WHIP 1.00 G/F 3 quality starts (he would be 4 for 4 but only went 5 2/3 one of his starts with only 1 run given up)
