anyone just see that 2nd base ump start to call the runner out at 2nd but then when he saw keppinger's reaction signaled safe instead? Before I saw the replay, I thought he got him....but the short hop carried him off the ground. I didn't see the ump's reaction.

The runner was clearly safe but the ump started to pump his fist for an out then changed when Keppinger didn't do anything.
What in the world are the cubs doing? They just handed us an out.

For what its worth I cannot stand the WGN announcers.....they are always making excuses for their players.
I started noticing it last year when I'd watch games on WGN...it gets quite annoying.
also if their players make routine plays they go out of their way to over exaggerate how great of a play it was

Is Dusty yanking Vol after 4 or is he going to try to get him the win? He's at 94 pitches already.

Nope. I got a 2 week trial a few years back and realized I was in the Red's black out zone.

I hope he at least lets him try for the win. Burton was warming up last inning but hopefully Volquez is out to start the inning
