The Lookouts lost 7-4, the loss going to Carlos Fisher in relief. Both he and Viola struggled today. Viola has been real disappointing after looking so good last year.
Tatum did not play, and Dorn did not play. Mike Griffin went 1-4.

The K's still a issue but when do you decide not to worry about it ? I mean he has HUGE power drives in alot of runs and hits over .300

Waring is essentially the new Dunn, except a better contact hitter.

So now in 13 games he has a .381 avg with 5 hr's and 15 RBI and also 15 K's and 4 bb's
He does nto walk enough to be considered a Adam Dunn IMO but he he might drive in more runs as he seems to try and drive runs in rather then take the walk.

Waring will learn a little more pitch discipline with more experience, and if he ever learns to hit low and away to opposit field consistently, watch out.

I tend to agree with Star. I don't think it's all that easy to learn to be a more disciplined hitter, so I don't think the Waring/Dunn comparison holds up very well.

Now I am nto saying he wont still be a solid player though. I dotn like the K's but you can still be a great palyer and strike out alot. it seems when he makes contact he does damage. I think its more likely that he lowers his K rate then it is to improve the walk rate. I think if he improves his contact rate he will just not K as much but I dont think he improves his walk rate all that much. its not terrible though now.
