We shall see what happens. Aty some point I will be ok with watching him struggle with the Reds as you learn that way as well. So far he has shown better command I agree. I don't think it makes sense to say Bailey should be up by a certain date, but if he has an ERA under 2 through May, it would be pretty clear to me that he is not facing challenging batters in AAA and probably cannot continue to develop without the push. I would rather him come up and get beat around a bit in the Show if that is going to make him learn his off pitches. He isn't going to learn them if nobody can touch his mediocre stuff.

What happened to Thompson? Lecure is starting in Chattanooga.

It is possible that hompson pitched a simulated game yesterday as that was the actual 5th day, which was an off day. That's just speculation though.
I'd leave Homer down in Louisville for a while. Starting pitching is not this teams problem right now, and i would love for him to take this year to master his command along with the changeup and slider.
Todd Frazier 1-1 so far.

That's exactly what I mean. At some point, if he's dominating, you have to bring him up. Regardless of where you put him, it's doing him no good sitting in AAA. (And who would have ever thought that a big reason for not bringing Bailey up would be that we don't have a place to put him?)

Yeah, 9 games w/ 13 Ks and 0 walks is pretty bad, especially when he's hitting better than he ever has right now....

He can only work on one thing at a time.....now he has his swing down its time to work on that batting eye.
Even though his K/BB ratio is terrible you have to at the least be wondering if this is for real. This kid has alot of talent if he can keep this up I say move him to AAA by june

He and Dickerson can battle it out for the 5th OF spot next year if Griff and Dunn are both gone, but I don't see either of them as a starter.

Jeff Jeffords just continues to mow down Low A hitters.
2 IP 1 hit 0 BB 0 runs 5 K's
Bringing his totals on the year to: 82/3 IP 0.00 ERA 4 htis 3 walks (0.81 WHIP) 17 K 3.00 Go/AO
At this rate, it won't be too long before he sees High A.

Who is Griffen? How old is he? I've never heard of him.

Who is Griffen? How old is he? I've never heard of him. He's a 24 year old utility player (Has started at 3B, 2B, 1B, and LF) who hit .310 last year between High A (90 games) and AA (47 games) who is currently hitting .324 in AA (10 games). He was a 14th rd pick by the Reds in 2005, and was an All-Star in Low A in 2006, and an All-Star in High A in 2007. He is essentially a young, slightly less disciplined version of Keppinger who will probably get the callup to AAA around this all-star break.
