Todays lineuo according to Dusty need speed due to the lack of hitting agsinst lefts.
Ryan Freel CF Norris Hopper LF Ken Griffey Jr. RF Brandon Phillips 2B Jeff Keppinger 1B Edwin Encarnacion 3B Juan Castro SS Paul Bako C Johnny Cueto P
v. LHP Tom Gorzelanny
Some pregame Dusty Baker:
On the lineup: "We've got to do something with these lefty. . . We've got a little more speed lineup, a create-things lineup."
from John Fay
My note: Freel has not seen live pitching in 3 days. Sence Wensday. He had 2 hits that day, Sac Fly. They won 12 to 4. How well will he do?

How well will he do? Gorzelanny is pretty tough, so he may be rough on Freel and the rest of the lineup. Are they going to get the game started on time?

Man, we'd better not get swept by the Bucs. That would be giving up all of the ground we'd gained against the stronger teams this year.

Bunt hit Hopper. We are playing small ball early. Was Hopper bunting for a hit or a sacrifice?

Bunt hit Hopper. We are playing small ball early. Was Hopper bunting for a hit or a sacrifice? Hopper was bunting for a hit. Dang it BP. Swings at the first pitch and pops it up with Freel on 3rd with one out. Now its 1st and 3rd 2outs with Keppinger up.

Runner on 3rd and 1 out. Can't score him. with 1st then 2nd pitch swinging. Disappointing, to say the least. Phillips is definitely not a late count, he's very aggressive. Keppinger is a bit more patient, but he won't be mistaken for Dunn or Hatteberg with his approach.
