I will update rosters and stats in a little while as I am off to a job interview but this should be good to get the game day discussions going. Wish me luck!

How about this stat.
Patterson leads the MLB in slugging with .839 Two people are tied for 2nd with .800
wtf is going on? I know its early, but still.
Also, has anyone noticed how Griffey has been on fire.
Last 7 games... .476 BA .571 OBP .762 SLG 7 Runs 6 RBI 3 Doubles 1 HR

Thanks again for taking the time to start all the gameday threads. Nice to be able to get other fans thoughts as I listen on MLB radio to the games when I can.
Good luck and best wishes on your interview today!

Lineups are here, as per CTR:
Redlegs
Corey Patterson cf Jeff Keppinger ss Ken Griffey Jr. rf Brandon Phillips 2b Adam Dunn lf Edwin Encarnacion 3b Scott Hatteberg 1b Paul Bako c Aaron Harang p
Beer Guys
Rickie Weeks 2b Gabe Gross cf Prince Fielder 1b Ryan Braun lf Bill Hall 3b Corey Hart rf J.J. Hardy ss Carlos Villanueva p Jason Kendall c
Why isn't Votto playing? He may not be setting the world on fire, but he has been outplaying Hatteberg.

I think Votto should be playing as well. Votto has more upside. He hits the ball hard and he's by far better on D then whats been advertised. The diving stop Votto made at 1B was nice the other night. Then you have Hatty who can't dig at all. He should have at least knocked Freel's throw down. With Ross and Gonzo coming back soon I hate to see Votto go but that seems to be the word. EE should be the one who's sent down judging by performances so far this season. I like Freel at 3rd or playing the field on some days and I would hate to see him go. I know he's not the smartest guy out their but he still makes plays so some GM's has to see some value in Freel. We have to do something with Hatty at 1B. Time to make a deal. Stop wasting time on showcasing, we all know what he's got so does every other GM in the majors. I don't care at this point what we get in return. This Reds team has options at 1B and every other position. Kepp can play anywhere in the IF we have A Phillips in AAA. This team has the talent to make a move with Hatty and not miss much.

Yes, I think Votto should be playing today...reasons why they could have Hatteberg are: They want him to get his swing back to be a reliable vet off the bench later in the year, they feel that he has hit Villanueva well in the past (correct me on that stat if I am wrong), but I think Votto should definitely get more playing time right now because Hatteberg isn't getting the job done as much as i expect him to, but this is a good problem to have.

Good luck and best wishes on your interview today! Thank you for your kind words. Side note the interview went very well. Reds related, look for Edwin to break out of the slump thanks to a day off and encouraging words from Dusty.....at least I hope

I'd say that EE has the next 5-7 games to break out of this slump or he gets sent down and the Reds play Freel at 3B until AGon gets back and then Kepp slides over. That HR in game 2 was clutch, but thats they only good thing he has done in 7 games other than maybe drawing a good amount of walks.

I disagree. I think EE has until AGon gets healthy, which is still about two to three weeks away, I believe.

And there is no definite time table on when AGon is back so it could be in a week or two, but it may end up being after the all-star break. All it takes is one bad reaction in rehab.

Why did they frost the outfield windows? That looks retarded. Its like they're playing in a big barn with metal siding now instead of a cool glass house.

Only took 13 pitches to get the Reds out in order in the first. Not good.
