Hamels again showing a problem area....
He walked the two weakest hitters in our lineup the first time through. The best pitchers don't do that. They attack the two weaklings and embarrass them.

Hamels is still young, he is just going to get better. He isn't the best yet, but I think he will be in the next 2-3 years. Unfortuately only 11 pitches thrown by Hamels last inning.
If Arroy can get through the meat of the order here, he may get at least 5 innings.

Wow he hit a pitcher's pitch. Nothing you can do about that.

I am telling you Arroyo does nto have enough on the fastball so they can look for his curveball knowing if they guess wrong he cant get the fastball by him. There is a chance that Arroyo has a career worst year this year. he has now given up what 4 hr's in 7 innings now.....lol

No excuse on that second one, a little too up even though it was on the outside edge. He has no zip.

Look at guys who live off the curveball and Barry Zito is a great example, Zito lost some off his average fastball and now he is a crappy pitcher. I am afraid Arroyo might be on his way. His fastball is weak.

I don't like to see Dunn strike out on a 90 mph fastball down the pipe. Keppinger with a hard hit out, couple inches from being an rbi hit.

Good inning by Bronson.
That said, it was the catcher and pitcher leading it off...lol.

arroyo finallys gets the 1-2-3 inning going through the 8-9-1 batters. Say what you want about Castro but the guy can still field. I for one am giving the guy a chance this season as he was hurt last year and I've never had a problem with Castro. He can come up with a big hit from time to time and his fielding in late inning situations can more than make up his lack of average.

Can't really complain about the hitting we've gotten out of Bako or the catcher spot in general.
