Cole Hamels scares me. I wish we could trade Homer, Maloney, EE, and Freel for him. Unfortunately all that offer would get is a luagh in the face.
Harang Hamels Cueto Arroyo Volquez

Gameday Line Ups Cincinnati Reds.......................................Philadelphia Phillies Corey Patterson CF .200............................Jimmy Rollins SS .304 Jeff Keppinger SS .389...............................Shane Victorino CF .150 Ken Griffey Jr. RF .200...............................Chase Utley 2B .389 Brandon Phillips 2B .316..............................Ryan Howard 1B .235 Adam Dunn LF .143....................................Pat Burrell LF .383 Edwin Encarnacion 3B .154..........................Geoff Jenkins RF .267 Joey Votto 1B .222......................................Pedro Feliz 3B .250 Paul Bako C .273........................................Carlos Ruiz C .167 Bronson Arroyo P .000...............................Cole Hamels P .000
Are You sure Corey is starting in CF, I think is going to be Hopper and maybe Junior gets a day off and Freel gets the start in RF.
Any way, Hamels is good and the reds need to make contact, so I hope that Kepp can keep it up.
Let´s go REDS!!!!!!

Told You.
Reds
Freel cf Castro ss Phillips 2b Dunn lf Keppinger 1b Encarnacion 3b Hopper rf Bako c Arroyo p
By Rosecrans.
Junior rests. Good move by Dusty moving Kepp to first and (I know You hate this) putting Castro at SS.

Why in the name of all that is holy is Castro batting 2nd?
With those people playing, this should have been the lineup:
1. Hopper, RF 2. Keppinger, 1B 3. Phillips, 2B 4. Dunn, LF 5. EE, 3B 6. Freel, CF 7. Bako, C 8. Castro, SS 9. Arroyo, P
I would have rather had this order:
1. Hopper, CF 2. Keppinger, SS 3. Dunn, LF 4. Phillips, 2B 5. EE, 3B 6. Valentin, 1B 7. Freel, RF 8. Bako, C 9. Arroyo, P
Castro needs to just be cut. Jolbert Cabrera or Andy Phillips would have brought so much more to this team.

who knows, maybe castro will hit a game winning hit today.
Castro is batting 2nd to give him more at bats to keep him "sharp"
Kepp can handle the ball well, so putting him in the middle of the lineup will give him a better opportunity to drive in some runs. Although, Kepp said (I think yesterday) that he feels very comfortable in the 2 hole.

The key to todays game is making Hamels throw a lot of pitches so he can get out of there as soon as possible. If the Reds can keep it within a run or two they could make a comeback in those last two innigns. Especially if they bring in a RHP in relief with Griffey, Votto, Hatteberg, Patterson, and Valentin being able to pinch hit.

Well we have to hope Edwin has a big day because this is the worst hitting lineup we could put out there today. Phillips, Keppinger and Edwin the key to a win today!
That and Arroyo has tohope that his slow stuff can confuse the phillies since they have been swinging at 95 mph fastballs the last 3 days

Juan Castro and his lifetime .269 OBP in the two hole. Madness.

In time I think the Reds will need to think about moving Arroyo. People keep assuming that 2006 was not a career year but he will never be that good again. Last year was the real arroyo. Not saying that is bad but its a 4th starter type stats.

This makes 0 sense.....
If Hopper is playing, he's leading off IMO. The only question would be if Patterson were also in the lineup....then you could argue Patterson first.
There is NO WAY you have Kepp playing, but not batting in the 2 hole where he's been killer so far this year.
I like BP in the 3 hole and Dunner in the cleanup role. Maybe he awakens today.
I think Dusty tried a bit too hard to plug righties in the lineup....as evidenced by Juan Castro.

Not saying that is bad but its a 4th starter type stats. 2006 was for sure a career year....but he was damn good that year. We just need somewhere between 2006 and 2007 for him to be successful. I think he's a 3rd starter on a good team with the stuff that he's shown.

Down 3-0 after 1/2 inning is not where you want to be against Hamels. This could be a long day for Reds fans. On a positive note, Cueto pitches again tomorrow
