Now that the league has gotten a look at Aguiar he's struggled a bit. I won't be shocked with Williamson going down if we sign another stopgap 1 year starter to round out the rotation and let Aguiar season in AAA a bit next year. I still think he can be a long term back end of the rotation arm for us, just needs to work through some growing pains. He won't even turn 24 until next June. Aguiar might be hitting the wall a little bit as well, he's at 148 IP on the year after 125 IP last year, so that about lines up with traditional thinking about building up innings year over year. Finish out this season in the big league rotation and get to about 155-160 IP and take these lessons and apply them in the offseason. I suppose trying to resign Martinez is also an option, but at this point he's probably going to want at least three years. Could maybe happen.
