I have had to prove that I'm a US citizen no less then five times for my current job. I think its perfectly fine to request proof of citizenship in order to vote. I think citizenship should be easier though, if you speak the language and have a skill set that can provide income welcome, if you are willing to join the US military for say five years I think thats good too. But these people that are coming over just for welfare benefits or criminals or heck don't even have a high school education has to stop. We have people here with issues that need to be taken care of first. Do you think it's OK for our country to ask what you're going to do about health insurance before we let you in? Some folks think that's a question we shouldn't be allowed to ask I think that is more then fair. You know I don't care if they know if they know complete US history, but they need to have something of a plan. I have insurance but I still put off because of cost. People that are illegal shouldn't get basically free medical care.

Sondland throwing Trump and his entire administration under the bus. That should just about do it I saw a scary thought on Twitter yesterday. Someone questioned whether the rule of law would even exist if the Democrats hadn't taken back the House of Representatives in last the midterm elections. I'm not sure it would. Thank goodness Donnie spent the first two years of his Presidency trying to figure out how to turn on the lights in the White House. Just imagine what he could have accomplished if he had had even a basic understanding of our system of government and some actual policy goals to pursue.

Here's more evidence of the corruption of the main stream media. CNN headlines Witness Implicates Trump ...in stunning testimony Sondland ties Trump and Top Officials to a plan to demand investigations of the Bidens in a quid pro quo
Yet that's not what he did at all. Don't believe me. Here's his actual testimony: Pay particular attention to the 3:00 mark and beyond.
OK, this has not been reported on the main stream media. CNN's headline is particularly egregious. There's corruption going on all right, but it's much worse than anything Trump's been involved with. it extends all the way to our media who's is abusing the Constitutional protections our FF's gave them. It's gotta stop.

He said there was a quid pro quo regarding a Ukrainian investigation of Biden and a Zelensky White House visit.

Yes, this was a headline as shown below. Also notice that this witness clearly says that he heard nothing of the sort. His exact words were he "presumed". He can presume whatever he wants but it's not factual. It's hearsay and he admits that he heard no such thing in the video I posted. Go to the 4 minute mark and it was downright entertaining. Mike Turner: You really have no testimony today that ties Pres Trump to a scheme to withhold aide from Ukraine in exchange for these investigations Sondland: Other than my own presumptions Turner: Which is nothing... The Dems have nothing here. That 5 min sequence was absolutely embarrassing. I feel sorry for this Sondland guy. He was exposed on national tv. We don't impeach a President based upon hearsay.

My mind is still blown that this is where we are as a country. Crazy. I agree. This is very divisive for the country which is the big picture and I hate that. However it's galvanized the Republican Party in support of Trump. That doesn't happen very often. This is how this is going to play out: 1) The House will vote to impeach on a strict partisan vote 2) The Republicans will call their own witnesses and call the shots when it gets to the Senate. These witnesses will include Schiff and Hunter Biden. 3) The Senate will vote to acquit on a strict partisan vote 4) Republicans will say "we can play this game too" and the justice Dept will start releasing/leaking their own investigations into surveillance of the Trump campaign in 2016 and possibly some indictments 5) Nothing constructive will get done for the American people. Nothing will come of all this bickering. The Trump haters will still hate him. The Trump supporters will still love him and the race in November will be a close call. I'd like to suggest a moratorium on all investigations by our legislative branches and pass some laws on things like a new North American trade agreement, immigration and healthcare. What's going on right now is a travesty.

If the latter is the case then let's look ahead to the election in November. Are the Democrats going to be able to give us a decent choice this time? Getting rid of Trump will come down to that. The best way to assure 4 more years of him is to give us a socialist like Bernie Sanders or Elizabeth Warren. Biden is probably the best bet but he'll be pushing 80 yrs old and quite frankly, he is the swamp. Buttigieg seems to be OK but at 37 and a resume in Politics of running a town that consists of Notre Dame and not much else, is he really ready to do the job of President of the United States? There does not seem to be a JFK, Obama, Bill Clinton or even Jimmy Carter choice for the Dems this time around. It's really sad that Americans aren't given better choices for President

It's really sad that Americans aren't given better choices for President We need to get past the word "socialism" in the US. It's nothing more than a scare tactic. Unless you think Ike was a socialist... (his entire presidency consisted of a 90+% top tier tax rate, nobody called him socialist - in fact, I believe those are the times when America was "Great" in the acronym "MAGA", no? Or maybe "great" just means "when a brown guy wasn't President.")

That's due largely to the fact that the "meaning" changes to fit whatever the speaker desires. I'm pretty sure if you ask 99% of those using "socialism," they couldn't define it either. At this point, it's pure scare tactic and dog whistle; the meaning shifts and changes because, the way it's used, it has no real meaning.
