I have to say that I have been very pleased with Dunn's situational hitting in the first two games. Game one he hits a grounder to the right side of the infield so they had no play on Phillips when he scored, and then yesterday going opposit field for the hit when they put the shift on to get the tying run on base. The Dunner of old would have tried to have pulled that pitch to right field and would more than likely have whiffed on it. If he can keep this kind of hitting up, then they won't be able to use the shift, and that will help his avg. greatly

And we will sign him to a 5 year deal. I hope we do it before the end of the season so we can get him for a little home team discount.

I'd prefer a 4 year deal. I just don't trust his body holding up that well after age 32.

i agree. 4 years i think is best. his big frame is takin a beating from jogging in the OF and always having to round the bases at least 40 times a year...lol

Enjoy your new, more "aggresive" Dunn everybody!!! This is exactly what you've been waiting for!

Hopefully it's not at the expense of the slugging power though. We have yet to see that.
