I listen to games almost every night even when Reds games are on. I just wanted to invite others to do the same. You really pick up alot of stuff by doing this like type of ptiches, MPH and stuff like that.
Just go to minorleaguebaseball.com and go to media section and you can sign up and listen to games for free.....
Duke do you ever do this ? If so me and you can decide on a night to night bases wich games we wantt o listen to and we can listen to diffrent games so we can post on each. I might have AAA one night you might have Dayton or the AA game. If we can get a 3rd guy we can really cover this stuff for the board. So whoever wants in let me know and we can get it started once season starts. In a way you would be scouts for this message board !

I love the idea, but I will probably have little availablity at nights to do so. I can maybe do some day games that I can listen too while at work, but my internet connectiviy time is limited after I get home. However I can't be counted on listening to anything consistently, but i'll chime in when I get the chance to listen. 1 year old twin boys can do that

That ok Duke just whenever you have time just check in here I will post on the game or games I am listening to and you can listen to something else. If we can get 203 more guys doign the same thing we can post reports during and after game. I think its a great idea aswell I hope we can get a feew guys who want to be scouts for us. I of course will be doing it, you can everynow and then we only need 1-2 more people really.
Lark might be able to do it everynow and then I hope he can chim in on the idea.

Thats great Duke. What we will do is post game threads in the Down on the farm section. It should be alot of fun and also get information out about the kids.

Yeah, I can catch some games from time to time. I certainly wouldn't mind listening in to see how Josh Ravin, Devin Mesoraco, Danny Dorn, and company are doing.

Starpower - I sometimes listen to Lookouts and Bats games. I'd be glad to post on which ones I do or you can assign me some if that works better for the group.
I've also got a little one but he's usually in bed before 1st pitch.

Well this is great so far we have 4 guys who can do it. We should be set then but if anyone else wants to feel free. All I ask is we try and set it up whenever possible so we listen to diffrent games.

I am going to the game on Thursday ( next week ) so if it is Cueto pitching that game I can give some first hand view of him.
So far the only guy I have gave a first hand report on ever is Carlos Fisher and I wasnt too bad on that one.

Nope you were not and I think this will be a big year for Mr fisher. he had a solid 2007 and his GB/FB ratio was very good. Fisher only pitched his last year in college so this might be a breakout type year for him. If not a move to the pen will be in order.

Hopefully Fisher has really worked on his endurance. After a hot start last year he faded in a big time way as his arm got tired and he never really seemed to get a second wind on the season.

web.minorleaguebaseball.com/milb/stats/stats.jsp?n=Carlos%20Fisher&pos=P&sid=milb&t=p_pbp&pid=457567Fisher was up and down as you can see in his last 10 starts and I do think it was due to him getting tired. He has a big frame and should be ready going into 2008. I wonder if they start him in AA and then bump him to AAA if he pitches well ? Overall he had a very nice year and even though he is now 25 because he was a 4 year college player and only started pitching 3 years ago he is right on track. He throws hard so I move into long relief might be in order to make our roster or we could hope he pitches well and we coudl package him in a trade. I like his upside alot.
