Stubbs off to a great start. 1 for 2 today so far with 2 RBI and a SB. he is now hitting .333 with 2 sb and I think he has walked 6 times so far !

It seems most talk about him as a future leadoff hitter, but all the scouting reports I've heard talk about his light tower power and how he is one of the few Longhorns to ever hit it over the scoreboard.

Cory Patterson is who I compare him too. He has the speed that you want for a leadoff hitter but I dont think he will ever hit for a high average (260?) and everything I have read is he K's too much. So far he also seems to be streaky

I think he will walk way way more then Patterson. We shall see he does have alot of power though.

Frazier is way to good for the Midwest League, He is 1 for 1 today now hitting .375 early in the year with 1 hr and 7 walks. They are not pitching to him but when they do he hits.

I dont think he will spend too much time there if he keeps it up.

The question is will they move Valiaka to 2b to open a spot at short for frazier to move up or do they move frazier to the outfield ?
I think Valaika is moved to 2b

I guess the question is who is more likely to somehow stay at SS
Chris isnt going to over take Brandon at 2B any time soon so if we want to see him have a shot at all at the show he is going to have to be a utility type player or play SS or anouther positon other than 2B.

The only reason I can see for keeping Frazier at Dayton is to give him a chance to move around and play SS, 3B, RF, and LF. If the guy is not going to stick at SS, it is probably best to move him now. At Dayton, it will be easier to move him around and get him comfortable with multiple positions while not worrying about what he is doing at the plate as well.

The more I think about it and hear press releases, I think the Reds might be trying to see if one of Valiaka or Frazier can stick at SS.

Why did Bowman only go 3 innings?

>:(Friggin Majewski blew the game for the Bats yesterday. Two outs in the bottom of the ninth with no one on base and he managed to give up a couple of hits and then a three run bomb. Sorry to say it but whatever he used to have - he has lost it. Reds need to cut their losses and release him
