You've presented very few if any facts. You've put links up and given your opinion. You stated that Mitch McConnell lied but you never stated exactly what he said that was a lie. You merely linked an editorial. But once again, all you're doing here is pettyfogging the issue. I have stated many times that Republicans are being hypocritical. That's not good enough for you. You also want to call them liars I guess. What good does that do? You want me to respond with calling Schumer and Biden liars too? Where does that get us? No, both parties have completely flipped their positions since 2016. That's hypocritical First there are facts that are established in the "editorial" I showed you. FACT 1. In 2016, after Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia died, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, when asked about filling Scalia’s seat, said, “Of course the American people should have a say in the court’s direction. It is a president’s constitutional right to nominate a Supreme Court justice, and it is the Senate’s constitutional right to act as a check on the president and withhold its consent.” Shortly after McConnell’s announcement, 11 Republican members of the Senate Judiciary Committee issued a statement pledging that no Obama nominee would get their approval. Later, when President Obama nominated Merritt Garland, Senate Republicans refused to hold any hearings to consider his nomination. FACT 2. This boiled down to Republican refusal to consider any Obama nomination during an election year. However, now, about four years later, at a Chamber of Commerce luncheon in Kentucky on Nov. 25, 2019, McConnell was asked, “Should a Supreme Court justice die next year, what will your position be on filling that spot?” McConnell’s response: “Oh, we’d fill it.” This was quick clear and concise article on what had transpired in 2016 and then in 2019 what Mitch said. As I mentioned this was picked up by virtually every national media outlet and is on video of Mitch being very smug about how he used his power and told everyone how he would use it if he had the chance to in 2020. You can't use what was said by Dems in 2016 as evidence against them today when they were arguing that what the Republicans were doing in 2016 was not fair. Fast forward to today and the Republicans want to use the rules prior to 2016 now the old rules suit the republicans. So, you trot out those old clips and say "see the Dems are hypocrites", total BS. Have the Dems flipped their position or are they asking the Republicans to adhere to the rules/standards they cited when they refused to vet Obama's nomination with a BS new rule? This is the problem in America---Power who has it, how they use it and why. It's your ball, if you want to take and go home, I cannot stop you. The Dems cannot stop the republicans on this issue. But for the Republicans to justify changing the rules based on what the Dems asked for in 2016 is wrong. This is what the Republicans are doing. If we are playing under the rules that Republicans cited in 2016, Mitch would say, lets wait until after the election. That is what the Dems are complaining about. You want to say that is Hypocritical of their position in 2016. I disagree. You're giving Democrats credit that you're not affording Republicans. Republicans are saying that RBG, Biden, Schumer and Co were right in 2016, so we're going to do it their way this time. Your argument could be played both ways but you won't do that 'cause you're too partisan to see this fairly. Notice that I'm sparing you the Republicans' argument that this isn't the same as 2016. This yr the Senate and the Presidency are of the same party. Were I interested in a tit for tat with you, I'd go down that route, but no, I'm willing to just state that both are being hypocritical. You can't even handle that. Yeah, you're the far left partisan here.

With 10 Senate seats possibly up for grabs, it looks like the Senate race is going to be closer than expected.
States most likely to flip:
Alabama-To R Colorado-To D Arizona-To D
Tossups:
North Carolina-To D Manie-To D Iowa- To D Georgia- To D Montana- To D
There's is a decent chance the Dems can take control over the Sensate.

Then you float the most ridiculous statement; "Republicans are saying that RBG, Biden, Schumer and Co were right in 2016, so we're going to do it their way this time." That is not what is happening now and you are way too smart to think that is the case. Republicans have the power and they are going to use it. Obviously, I cannot convince you the hypocrisy is squarely on the Republicans. Maybe next time

Obviously, I cannot convince you the hypocrisy is squarely on the Republicans. Maybe next time I acknowledged a lot more of your points than you did mine. In fact I'd say you had not acknowledged any of my points. You're still hung up on Dem hypocrisy. You still think they are an angelic party w/o fault. Your two "facts" are correct historically. It's why I said the Republicans are being hypocritical. I also stated facts on how the Dems are hypocritical. You can't handle that, hence where we are today. Instead you get into cliches about bodily functions or use four letter words banned on network tv and many internet boards. One final time: the hypocrisy is squarely on the Republicans and the Democrats.

One final time: you are committing the logical fallacy of "false equivalence." This is drawing an equivalence between two subjects through use of false or flawed reasoning. If you need to try to "both sides" everything in an effort to justify the conclusion that you clearly want to reach, then have at it, but just don't delude yourself into thinking that anyone else views your argument as valid or persuasive.

I'm taking Democrats' own words at face value. The video I posted shows it. They've done a complete flip since 2016. Here you go. Fact check USA Today: It's all documented right here: www.usatoday.com/story/news/factcheck/2020/09/21/fact-check-chuck-shumer-statements-court-vacancies/5859052002/Tell me how the USA Today is guilty of "false equivalence".

True Hypocrisy is Lindsey Graham, current Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman who will lead the hearings on the latest SCOTUS nomination. This is what he said about the 2016 blocking of Merritt Garland's Supreme court Nomination and how the SCOTUS nomination should be handled in the same scenario. www.youtube.com/watch?v=hP7PSE1CSTkBy the way everything Graham said about Trump and Biden 2016 was spot on. What happened to these republicans? They use to at least act like they had integrity. www.youtube.com/watch?v=1g0fSLNDegYin
