So he's a legitimate President? He legitimately won the election. Congressional investigations were unable to establish that the Trump campaign actively worked with Russia to steal the election. Russia helped him through disinformation and the like (as did right-wing news media, for that matter), but did it of its own accord. I'm glad you feel that way. That puts you above folks like Biden, Hillary and Jimmy Carter who have all said that he's an illegitimate President

Of course Trump is a legitimate President. Not a good one but legitimately elected sworn to the oath to defend the constitution of the USA. He has completely failed to do so. The big lie of "stop the steal" and "rigged election" needs to stop. Republicans are finally starting to say this out loud. Biden won fair and square. Republicans won the down ballot election. And Trump cost the republicans the senate in the Georgia runoffs. This election was a referendum on Trump and his moral character, which is basically non existent. Backing Trump puts people on the wrong side of this fight. Back your/those republicans who will be left after Trump is gone. Really Trump is not worth the fight. The man has not worked at all since the election. This country needs a two party system, compromise is at the crux of our democracy. If the country can get on the right side of this now, we can avoid years of chaos, arguments, fighting among ourselves. I believe 70 to 80% of the country wants basically the same things, we have given too much air to the fringes or the other 20-30% of those who want vast changes. So compromise means try to impeach the President for more than four years pretty much straight. I think any liberal who had any part of that needs to be bared from holding any office. Trump did more in the first year then Obama did in eight years. Biden claims to be a uniter. He knows 74 million voted for Trump. How is calling him incompetent going to unite the country? How are his 74 million supporters going to take those comments? www.nbclosangeles.com/news/business/money-report/biden-invites-pence-to-inauguration-calls-trump-incompetent-and-says-its-good-he-wont-attend/2502438/

People died, including a police officer. What part of this do you not understand?

I think Trump's actions this past week clearly show he is INCOMPETENT to lead this country. And I don't know if Biden can unify this country when Ted and Josh and other enablers continue to be complicit in the LIE that the election was rigged and stolen. I will say it again, this election was a referendum on Trump, not on the republican party. But Trump is literally setting the party back and he cost them the Senate. Mitt Romney had it right when he said the way to help people get over the loss of the election, is to tell people the truth. If Republicans are ready to admit that the election was not stolen and get to work solving issues like Covid, Infrastructure, Healthcare, then maybe we can start down the road of unifying the country. And Shellis I am not sure, but what did Trump do in his first year that was so exceptional? Muslim Ban, Tax cut for the rich, failed to overturn Obamacare, Leave the Paris Accord, Walk away from allies on Iran, screw up handling of North Korea, tough on China? To quote Hakeem Jefferies, "Trump is a walking, breathing impeachable offense on his own". The Democrats are just doing what needs to be done, AGAIN. The question is will the republicans finally step up and do what needs to be done? If so, then maybe the country can begin to be united.

The Democrats need to be thrown out of office because what they want to do would set this country back decades. One day you'll understand that the rich will get theirs regardless of what is done. Increase minimum wage drastically hey they'll charge more for products, tax them heavier they'll make sure that we pay our fair share of it because items will cost more. I can't understand how anyone with any intelligence can side with them outside of the heavy liberal leaning schools teaching it. I look at what they say that Trump did while not finding any proof then seeing that Biden has done all the same stuff with plenty of proof and its all ok.

I guess he managed not to get impeached in year one, so I suppose by default it was one of the better years of his Presidency.

Well, BLM protests/riots were about people of all races were protesting a man being killed by police who kneeled on his neck for nearly 9 minutes and the social injustice associated with that sickening act. A movement which most Americans supported. The Insurrection led by OUR president, who has taken an oath of office to uphold the constitution of the USA, is drastically different. Trump lied to his supporters that election was rigged and was stolen from him despite dozens of lawsuits that were laughed out of every court in the land and deemed free and fair. He invited everyone to his rally in DC on January 6th, told them to fight for their country and told them to go to the Capital and let congress know they were unhappy with these other branches of government. The Congress, Senate and House Representatives were doing their constitutional duty to count the certified by the states election results that Trump was unhappy with. IDK, how is it any different?

Which was later shown that said guy was on drugs and that was actually what he died from. Follow cops orders and this sort of thing doesn’t happen. If he were white we wouldn’t have heard the first word.

As did the knee to his neck. www.nytimes.com/article/george-floyd.htmlUphold your OATH OF OFFICE TO THE CONSTITUTION OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA and this sort of thing (an insurrection to our democracy) does not happen.

Floyd got a knee to the neck because he was on drugs, acting violent and resisting arrest. It was not because of racism. Watch that video. There's no sign of racism from the police. In fact everything is going fine until the suspect gets out of control and resists arrest.
What bothers me about all the riots and unrest last summer is that neither Floyd or Jacob Blake were blatant examples of racism. Both were examples of violent felons resisting arrest. The officers in the Blake arrest have already been acquitted so to speak. I would not be surprised if the Floyd case yields little more than heavy policing as opposed to racism.

I have watched the video and it is horrific. But your point is taken. Not saying I agree, but I understand what you are saying. My point was the BLM protests were about racial injustice that were brought on by what looks like a white cop kneeling on a black man's neck, pleading for his life for 9 minutes. Most people in the country thought that was a excessive and supported the protests. Looting, rioting and hurting police / federal property is unacceptable. I was asked what is the difference between BLM protests and what happened at the capital. The link to the article, stated facts that were different from what you are saying, there will be a trial and we will see what happens. As far as Trump and the riot our "law and order" president instigated in an attempt to overturn our election. Well, He got impeached - again and this time Repugs won't say it was partisan as leadership in the party has decried that the president has responsibility in the Insurrection/attack on our democracy. He has lied to America his entire presidency and yet people still defend the guy who was practically the only republican to lose in this election. Then he tries to burn the entire thing to the ground. It is one thing to have a few bad apples in the police force it is another when the man elected to President of the United States refuses to uphold his constitutional oath of office and incites a riot in the capital building.
