In case you are keeping score at home, Faedo has now given up 1 ER in 25 innings vs. the Canes. We play them a lot. We beat them a lot, too. 25-11 in the Sully era. Updated, 27-11 after another sweep. Miami scored 2 runs all weekend. Good thing, b/c we didn't hit. JJ Schwartz has had a real rough start, and coming off a year last year that was short of what people expected. What are your thoughts on Dalton Guthrie? Would he be worth considering at 38 (assuming we don't take a SS before him)? Is his defense MLB worthy at SS? Where do you stream Florida games? They were all over the ESPN app last year, but I couldn't find them this weekend for a Miami series I was sure would be highlighted.

I love Guthrie. I don't think he will be able to hit enough for the big leagues. Just my guess. He's a good defender, but he's not Richie Martin with the glove. Hits a little better, but I kind of doubt it is enough.
JJ has problems. If you are a HS pitcher who can go wherever you want, Florida is the only logical choice. If you are a hitter . . .
Most games are SEC+ through Watch ESPN. That'll be true for most of the rest of the season. I couldn't find it sunday either, don't know where it was.

Johnathan India will likely be a first rounder as a 3B next year. He, Singer and Kowar are the Gators to watch for 2018.

I doubt Columbia is any good, but Faedo mowed them down tonight regardless. He was spotting the fastball and slider and getting swings and misses with his changeup. Watched about half his start, very impressive. 7 IP, 2 H, 2 BB, 9 K, 0 R
Bukauskus with another dominant start against Long Beach State (who I believe is supposed to be decent). 7 IP, 6 H, 1 BB, 9 K, 2 R, 1 ER. 0.67 ERA in 20 IP so far this year. The one run was a run a reliever let in after Bukauskus came out in the 8th.
Through 3 games Hunter Greene is hitting .417/.462/.750 with 1 BB, 3 K, 1 SB. Still only made the 1 start on 2/25.

Any idea where Faedo was sitting velocity wise?

Any idea where Faedo was sitting velocity wise? No speeds shown on the broadcast and I had the volume down. Rough guess would be 91-94 with some 95. That's what he usually is, and it looked like what I've seen from him in the past.

Kyle Wright pitched too... 5 IP, 6 H, 5 R, 3 ER, 2 BB, 8 K.
Kendall no longer even seems worthy of updates.

Kendall's 13 K is his first 40 at bats doesn't really alleviate the swing and miss concerns. They also dropped him from 1st to 5th in the order the last few games. I haven't heard about how his defense in CF has been. Haven't seen him pitch this year yet, but from what I've heard is that everything non fastball is still pretty average and teams are sitting on his fastball. He's pretty much out too. Lewis Greene Faedo Bukauskus That's still my list.

Faedo only needed 79 pitches for his 7 innings last night.
Watching Brady Singer pitch now. That arm slot is real low. Any lower and it'd be sidearm. Looks like it would hurt to throw it that way that hard. He doesn't seem to have his offspeed pitch working.

What happened to JJ Schwarz? He's gone from Seth Beer to Beer Vendor since his freshman year. Langworthy has had a solid start.

JB Bukauskas has a big game this Friday against Virginia, which is a top 10 team lead by likely 1st Rd pick 1B Pavin Smith, one of the top college bats in the draft. It will be a good test.

Liput, India and Guthrie are all stinking it up as well. Those guys need to be carrying the offense. They aren't. Guthrie hasn't been "stinking it up," I guess, but he hasn't been great either.
