I take it that this one and the Balester one were cash deals?

This is the same Patrick Schuster who achieved legendary status for throwing 4 consecutive no-hitters and striking out 20 batters in a game while a high schooler in Florida. His minor league numbers as a starter seemed to be decent enough for his first few seasons although his innings didn't seem to be increasing at a very high rate. Not sure if there was an injury or injury concerns, but the past few years he has pitched exclusively as a reliever.

I take it that this one and the Balester one were cash deals? PTBNL or Cash considerations.....so at a later date the Reds will likely pay cash for both

Should have gone to UF rather than signing with the pros.
